Ordering
your new ENERGY SAVER Premium Vinyl Replacement Window couldn't
be easier. We do all the work at the factory to make our window
fit your opening. Because we do, you don't have to do the messy
work of new siding, new sheetrock, and new trim so often needed
with other windows used for "replacement."
Just follow the simple instructions, and refer to the diagrams,
for measuring. This is the time when being sure counts the most.
Carefully mark down the dimensions in our worksheet
and bring this sheet to Universal Windows. We will then order
your windows and when they arrive you'll find that we did all
the work in the factory to make them fit - so you wouldn't have
to at home.
Measuring
the window opening
Note: these instructions are for a double-hung
window. If your window is a slider, or a casement, measure the
widest part of the opening width and opening height. Record the
dimensions in the chart, and note that the old window is a casement,
slider, awning, etc. Check with your dealer and he'll advise you
how to proceed.
WIDTH
Measure the width of the opening from jamb to jamb, behind the
trim or stops. Measure 3 places: at top, bottom and middle, and
use the smallest dimension.

HEIGHT
Measure the height from the bottom of the sill to the head jamb
above the trim, as shown. Measure 3 places: each side and the
middle, and use the smallest dimension.
